The holidays are approaching and it’s time to get out some red lipstick! You want to look your best for your office party, high school reunion or family get-together. Here’s my go-to look for the Holiday season.
#1 Apply Moisturizer
First, I applied moisturizer – my current favorite is the CVS brand moisturizing cream. It is inexpensive and hydrates my skin for a few dollars.
I then contoured my cheeks with a bronzer from Elf. I applied the bronzer to my cheekbones, my temples and blended it down to my neck to even out the color.
To add a little depth to my eyes I added a soft brown in the color Buck to my crease. This color looks natural but still makes my eyes pop.
#9 Here’s the Tricky Part – Eyeliner with Wings
I added a thick black liquid line with Loreal eyeliner and added a large wing to the ends. This takes a little bit of practice but to make it easier I sometimes take a black pencil and trace a line and then add liquid liner to perfect it. If that doesn’t work, putting scotch tape on both outer corners of the eye will make an even wing as well as make both sides even.
If you mess up, Q-tips and some cream are a girls best friend!
#10 Apply Another Eyeliner to Make it Last and Some Mascara
#11 Make Those Lips Irresistible
Last but not least, I applied a gorgeous shade of red lipstick from Mac called Prepare for Pleasure. It is a bright red with some shimmer to it and is sure to turn heads this winter.
And you are done.
Now go have fun at the office Christmas party – just don’t drink too much and hook-up with Joe from accounting. Things could get awkward tomorrow morning.
